In this year saw the end of the season for me on Dünsberg. 27km with about 600HM were on the program. On Saturday it looked like rain weather and I was inwardly happy already (I drive almost every morning through the rain into the office and am the best trained rain drivers are out), Sunday was it but then dry udn some even came the sun out. So for the best weather on the long haul takes place, German Marathon Championships, which attracted the sizes of the German cycling to Biebertal. Others were Spitz, Fumi, Milatz, Kaess, etc. at the start. But who cares here already, after all, I am driven only short:)
The start time was moved 100 feet to the rear, which made for all sorts of funny stuff at startup. you would not believe how many starters had placed too great a gang and then connected to the shaft have ... - Started just before a bump was Interconnected have I am not really good but I did not move because I was somewhat trapped. Regardless, the start was ok and I could fit into the chasing group. In the race one can say that it has decided on the first 5 kilometers. I could catch the leaders briefly here before "create" two drivers did.
Since I first had to gain some strength I could not follow, however, forced the pace, and formed with another driver, a 2-strong chasing group. This was estimated at km 5, from now on was "allowed" I lead the group until we could collect at the last line dividing one outlier. So it went on for three, unfortunately I have still made too much pace. The finish line was close, especially in the penultimate corner, where I had to take time out neatly rubber ... Just before the finish line I was in third (last) in the group. On the home straight I could make good time but again, because it was too short but I had to admit defeat by 0.2 seconds and finished in 4th place overall and number 1 AK (Herren/U23).
A very enjoyable end of the season, especially when I had to complain about it last year to haul himself a Snakebite.
now stands only next weekend the Lollslauf on the program. I was running yesterday and I must say that I'm absolutely not ready for the 10km.
