Am 19.09. It was then time again. After a few weeks break from racing the Odenwald Bike Marathon in Hirschberg was on the program. As in the previous year was great weather, it was a great course and the landscape (for times when you find time to look around) is really "very smart" in the area. So much for the things that can influence the organizers limited - if they were so good that very reason?
Now for the less beautiful things ... The start was pretty ok so far, not only that "Highway to Hell" was shown and this is actually not. I can not start without AC / DC ... The race went okay. I had in the meantime you a little cramp and basically had some heavy legs. I was more surprised if the good results at the finish (8th place overall / 3rd place age men). My goal, a podium finish in Hirschberg, I am there. But when it was called in the information that only the Top 5 Total + Junior / inside were honored, I was somewhat perplexed. "That was the year in it." (O-Ton of Info-aunt).
So my dear organizers you the a look at:
you have fewer than 29 EUR Entry fee for the reports on the short distance required there in the starter package except advertising / flyers NOTHING and not even a pasta dish or drink was "in". Not to mention the honor of all ages ...
In MTB Marathon in Zierenberg cost the starting fee 20 EUR, the starter pack was fully Rammel (Mini Tool & Cagebox of SKS), there was a pasta dish ksotenlos AND there were cash prizes for the podium places in the age groups.
you think so indeed, that it was not even in there with you at least a small cash prize, trophy or voucher entry fee for the age group winner to spend?
